New lappie – Acer Aspire 4520

After a long awaited death of my old notebook, I finally got a chance to replace it, yay! :>

This time, the notebook replacement falls under “cheap and good” category. Now, let us welcome our latest arrival – the Acer Aspire 4520! Before we go into the specs, let me introduce our new baby. This unit is actually a 4520 variant with AMD Turion 64 X2 processor. Featuring Nvidia GeForce 7000M and ultra-realistic Dolby Surround sound, it excels at video/audio playback, multimedia, soft gaming and more. You can observe noticeable improvement in the built quality and finishing as well. No doubt a good deal for a lappie that falls within RM2k range.

Installing Windows XP is a breeze with no complications whatsoever. Previous models in the market comes without Windows XP driver and many users has voiced their problems in their blog. Well, you can rest assured that it is no longer an issue as Acer has included XP driver in the new version of Resource DVD. How sweet.
