Black Bean Soup

This is how I make this soup early in the morning before I go to work. First, I’ll prepare 150g of black beans. Get it rinsed and drained. Then get six cloves of garlics peeled. Pour 1 litter of boiling water into slow cooker, add in black beans, garlics and pork ribs. Add some light soy sauce or salt. Cover pot, switch on electricity and turn the dial to “slow”. Let it simmer for 10 hours. The soup will be ready when I go home after work. Just need to prepare two other simple dishes like steamed fish and stir fry vegetables before my hubby reach home for dinner.

Celine, that’s look delicious, I’ll try that…….. here is my recipe for wholemeal bread:
500g wholemeal flour or (250g wholemeal flour and 250g high protein flour)- A

    B ingredients:
    60g butter
    60g caster sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 tablespoon of milk powder
    1 egg beaten
    100ml drinking water
    100ml water from flask
30-40 g of wet yeast (can get from Sunshine square butter section)

Mix A and B thoroughly, knead with your hand until fully mixed (this will take around 15 – 20 minutes.
Place inside an air-tight microwave (don’t on it), just let it rise for 1 hour, it should rise double the size, take out knead a while and let it rise again for another hour.

Remove from the microwave, when you poke it, it is very soft, baked in oven at 180 -200 C for 15-20 minutes, spread butter on-top while it’s hot.

Note: If during kneading, the dough is a bit wet or dry, add some self-raising flour(if wet) or add water (if too dry).

Happy trying!!! can add some raisin if you want to.
